With its current expertise, PAPACKS® is a developer, packaging manufacturer and driving force for innovative raw materials, coatings and the production of climate-neutral, sustainable packaging and product solutions that are fully utilized and reused in the Circular Economy or processed into secondary raw materials in the existing paper recycling system.

Company Goals

PAPACKS® has set itself the goal of producing molded fiber packaging made from sustainable, biodegradable and recyclable raw materials. We are implementing various measures to achieve this goal:

We use closed separators in our production to minimize water consumption and achieve water savings. We also reduce the amount of waste that has to be disposed of in landfill sites in order to reduce CO₂ emissions.

By using controlled, high-quality raw materials, we guarantee a pure raw material origin without foreign substances and thus contribute to saving resources. We also promote biodiversity through the use of fibers from paludicultures and PAPACKS® Industrial Hemp.

Our materials are sourced from sustainable forestry and are FSC®-certified, with a new tree being planted for every tree felled. We also apply the highest quality standards to our raw materials to ensure high product quality.

Through further measures, we want to produce our molded fiber packaging from PAPACKS® Industrial Hemp fibers and thus contribute to saving resources and reducing CO₂ emissions.

In addition, we operate our production facilities with renewable energy in order to further minimize our ecological footprint and ensure sustainable production. We are convinced that these measures will help us to achieve our corporate goals in line with the requirements of a sustainable and resource-conserving economy.

Molded fiber expert for renewable raw materials

At a time when sustainability is becoming increasingly important, Papacks has dedicated itself to researching and optimizing renewable raw materials. Over the course of a decade, we have investigated more than 40 different renewable raw materials and developed valuable insights and technologies.

As experts in fibre optimization, we have developed methods to analyse the properties of these sustainable materials and use them efficiently in various applications. Our focus is on providing environmentally friendly solutions for a wide range of industries.

Workshops and training courses

In order to pass on our knowledge and expertise, we offer workshops and training courses. These focus on the various renewable raw materials and their possible applications. The workshops enable companies and professionals to benefit from our experience and expertise and jointly implement sustainable solutions in their projects.

Circular design

Circular design points the way to a regenerative and resilient future. This approach involves designing and developing products, services and systems that focus on the big picture. The focus is on the needs of the user and at the same time the entire system in which we work is considered. Circular design enables us to tackle global challenges such as the reduction of packaging and the reuse of packaging at the root.

In addition to the environmental benefits, it is important to emphasize that circular design can also make economic sense. It helps to save resources and energy and reduce waste disposal costs. Circular design is an approach that should be considered as part of a broader sustainable strategy in product development and business management.

At PAPACKS, we work with you to design packaging products according to the principles of circular design. In doing so, we take into account the entire life cycle of the product and the various material flows to ensure efficient and resource-saving production. By implementing circular design, we help to make better use of resources and reduce the environmental impact.

We are convinced that circular design is an important step towards a regenerative and resilient future. That is why we are committed to consistently implementing this concept in our production of molded fiber parts.

Circular Economy — Reuse

We rely on the principles of the circular economy in the production of product, protective and transport packaging made from molded fiber. By permanently returning the packaging used to our production, we can use the materials in a closed loop and reduce our carbon footprint.

The packaging is returned directly to our production facilities, without any energy-intensive raw material processing. We rely on green electricity, which is additionally supported by solar power.

By implementing reuse strategies, we are helping to reduce the amount of waste and minimize the consumption of resources. We are convinced that this measure will help to shape a more sustainable and resource-efficient future.
