Advent calendar market is changing

„The advent calendar market has changed fundamentally in recent years,“ explains Manuel Leibrock, CMO of PAPACKS. „Brands are increasingly using the format to position 24 of their products as premium gifts - from cosmetics and spices to spirits and, of course, confectionery. This development requires packaging solutions that guarantee both high-quality presentation and food safety.“

PAPACKS offers fully customized solutions for Advent calendars, ranging from design and printing to optional filling. The cast fiber inlays can be produced in standard quantities from a minimum of 600 units and can be individually scaled up to the millions. This flexibility enables both smaller brands to produce limited editions and established manufacturers to produce large volumes for the retail trade. The inlays and cartons can be recycled in the paper cycle and the inlays can even be reused as growing beds for plants in spring.

Packaging as a brand ambassador

„We are observing a clear trend: packaging is increasingly becoming an integral part of the brand strategy,“ Leibrock continues. „Confectionery manufacturers are looking for solutions that differentiate their products and are also recyclable in the paper cycle. This shows that cast fiber can do both - individual brand design with complete recyclability.“

For confectionery manufacturers, the company is also presenting customizable three-dimensional moulds made of fibre casting. The molds can be adapted to specific product geometries and are designed for use in automated production lines. Thanks to their compatibility with robotic systems, the packaging can be integrated into existing production processes. The minimum order quantity is 100,000 units.

Automation as the key to scaling

„The robot-compatible design of our fiber casting moulds enables them to be used in automated production lines. Automation plays a decisive role in production speed, especially for larger volumes of 100,000 units or more,“ explains Leibrock.

With a total annual production capacity of over 1 billion units, PAPACKS is able to handle both test runs for market launches and large industrial series. Production in Europe guarantees short delivery routes and compliance with European standards.

Trade fair visitors have the opportunity to arrange individual consultation appointments via the company's website. PAPACKS can provide admission tickets for ISM ProSweets on request.
