Tool set with drills and bits in two white molded fiber trays
product packaging · custom-developed

Molded fiber product packaging Inserts for premium products and gift sets

Presentation inserts and set trays for your box — precisely fitted for one product or several variants, with embossing for logo and labeling.

Design and development together with you — engineering, prototype, tool making and series production from a single source.

Why an insert

Everything in its place. When packing and when unpacking

Your set consists of several components, and it should delight customers when they open it. One molded part holds every product in position, carries your brand and is packed in a single move.

Fit

Fits like a glove

Each compartment is made for exactly one product: bottle, jar, leaflet. Whatever you put in is still exactly in place when unpacked.

Packing

A single move

Product, accessories, leaflet: one layer, one molded part, one item number. Even when your set comes in several variants.

Brand presence

The logo is built in

Embossing and texture are created in the tool — with the molded part, in the same cycle. The visible side carries your brand from the very first molded part.

What this looks like for your product is determined by the geometry. The compartments are designed around your set, the fit is checked on the sample, and only then is the production tool built.

Examples

Every product gets its own shape

From hardware sets to gift sets: what lies in the insert determines what it looks like. Yours is created the same way as the following examples.

Molded fiber tray with door handle, lid lifted off

Hardware

Hardware set

Handle and fittings in their own cavities, the lid on top. The installer lifts it off and finds each product in the order in which it is needed.

Electronic device in a precisely fitting molded fiber insert

Fit

Device and negative form

The insert is the negative form of your device — cutouts for handles, feet and connectors are created directly in the tool.

Beauty set in a gift box with a precisely fitted molded fiber insert

Premium product

Gift set

The insert fills the box edge to edge, each tube in its cavity. The fiber surface carries the presentation on its own.

Toy set in a box with a molded fiber insert, each component in its compartment

Toys

Toy set

Every component in its compartment, the insert in the box. When opened, the set lies sorted, just as it was packed.

Molded fiber insert with an emergency hammer, half pushed into the retail box, on a car seat

Safety

Tool insert

Device and holder in their own cavities. The insert holds both in the retail box and shows on opening what belongs together.

Device with bottles and cylinder in two molded fiber components next to the opened shipping carton

Device with accessories

Device, bottles, cylinder

Each product in its cavity, held at top and bottom. The carton opens, and the set stands.

Product packaging made of molded fiber consists of presentation inserts and set trays made of virgin fiber that hold product, accessories and leaflets in a single layer. Plus toy inserts, capsule boxes, confectionery inserts and much more. We clarify what is possible for your product in the consultation — dimensions, compartments and process are later specified in the data sheet for your molded part.

At a glance

Predictable from the first conversation

You know in advance what your insert needs and when it will arrive — with key data on which you can base your costing and your schedule.

Frequently asked questions

What customers ask before the first sample

Logo, lettering and surface texture are created as embossing directly in the production tool, on the smooth visible side of the post-pressed molded part. The carton carries the print: your design on the outside, the embossed fiber surface on the inside. We define embossing depth and motif size on your sample.

We make your own shape from 100,000 units per year. Below that quantity, we tell you in the consultation from what quantity your own tool pays off for you. For calendars and gift sets, we offer the Advent calendar as a ready-made format. Your quote states the tool price; it depends on format, number of compartments and process — patented PAPACKS tooling concept, five-year tool warranty under the terms of the quote. The unit price depends on format, number of compartments, process and annual quantity. All prices net, exclusively for business customers.

First, you receive samples that match your project — similar molded parts from existing projects or standard products. Your own prototype is created in step 3, around 4 weeks after the kickoff. Tool making, pre-series and start of series production take around 12 weeks from your approval. The times are planning estimates; binding dates are set out in your detailed plan.

This page is about film-wrapped goods — the fiber does not touch the food. If your product lies unwrapped in the compartment, the declaration of conformity is decisive: our virgin fiber is suitable for direct food contact within the scope of the respective test report; the test frameworks are BfR Recommendation XXXVI, FDA 21 CFR 176.170/.180 and Regulation (EC) 1935/2004. We issue the declaration of conformity for each product. We plan this route with you under Food Service & Food Products.

Yes. The insert is designed to the inside dimensions of your carton; we set the tolerance according to process and geometry and confirm it on the sample in your box. For this, we need the inside length, width and height, plus the product itself.

We check the recyclability of your insert on a product-specific basis with cyclos-HTP according to the ZSVR minimum standard and DIN EN 13430 — we commission the report for your item on your request. Recovery on site depends on the collection infrastructure; labeling and disposal information are in the data sheet for your molded part.

The visible side is post-pressed and smooth. We test together with you, on the product and the packaging, whether your product needs additional surface protection; the result goes into the data sheet for your molded part.

For everything the end customer sees on opening: electronics, cosmetics sets, film-wrapped confectionery, hardware fittings, gift sets. Cosmetics gift sets with an insert belong here. Food with direct fiber contact is covered under Food Service & Food Products, primary packaging for personal care products under Personal Care & Beauty, pure protective packaging under Protective packaging and 24 calendar doors under Advent calendar. Everything else is a case for Custom Engineering.
