Protective and transport packaging
It's clean, it's smooth, it's natural.
Molded pulp: An environmentally friendly solution for replacing plastic and EPS molded parts for transport packaging and protective packaging or replacing expensive cardboard boxes.
Replace existing EPS (expanded polystyrene) and XPS (extruded polystyrene), styrofoam, foam, plastic and plastic as well as expensive cardboard in a sustainable manner.
Other possible substitutions for EPS packaging or styrofoam packaging, polystyrene packaging, thermal plastic packaging, insulating packaging, EPS foam, EPS blocks, EPS molded parts or foam molded parts and EPS packages.
Tailor-made solutions for optimal protection during transport
Molded pulp parts are an optimal solution for transport and product packaging because they offer high cushioning and protective properties and can be molded into individual three-dimensional shapes. Pulp consists of renewable raw materials and can be returned to existing recycling cycles (e.g. waste paper).
We use high-quality fibers to manufacture our molded pulp parts and optionally offer a plant-based coating to reduce abrasion. This protects our fiber cast molded parts from possible scratches, e.g. B. arise with rough moldings made of waste paper or recycled paper.
We refrain from using waste paper in the manufacture of all packaging products. The reason for this is that the origin of the raw material cannot be controlled and foreign matter often gets into the fiber material as a result of the collection or recycling process.

Advantages of pulp molding molded parts
Our molded fiber parts are made from FSC®-certified virgin fibres. In this way, we maintain a responsible approach to our raw material depots and sustainable forestry. In the future, we will use industrial hemp fibers from our own hemp plantations (Industrial Hemp), as hemp fibers combine more advantages in terms of low CO₂ emissions and optimal material properties.
Positive aspects of switching to pulp packaging:
- Resource-saving production
- Lower CO₂ emissions than plastic
- PTS tested for return in waste paper
- High dimensional stability even in different weather conditions and temperatures
- Suitable for primary and secondary packaging
- High-quality feel and look
- Controlled raw material suitable for circular economy concepts

How it works
A manufacturing technique older than plastic, with today's know-how for tomorrow's packaging future.
The most important properties of molded pulp packaging

Sustainability
Our cast fiber packaging is sustainably produced in Germany. We only use renewable raw materials and fibers that are FSC® certified and come from sustainable forestry. Our production facilities are powered by renewable energy. In this way, we enable an optimal ecological footprint compared to packaging based on fossil raw materials, such as plastic packaging. Unlike synthetic materials such as EPS, our molded pulp packaging is biodegradable and recyclable in waste paper.

Shock absorbing / shock absorbing
With molded pulp packaging, you benefit from excellent shock absorption, which ensures the safe transport of your products. Depending on the design, the fiber cast molded parts can be easily deformed and still retain the necessary stability, especially when the packaging is impacted directly during transport.

Diverse and individual
Thanks to its flexibility, molded pulp packaging can be produced in different shapes and sizes, making it a versatile and customized solution for the sustainable design of a wide range of products and applications.
Through various manufacturing processes, we can offer individual degrees of fineness for molded fiber parts - be it for an organic or luxurious feel. The fibers we use give the molded fiber parts a white, high-quality look that highlights your product.

Stackable / nestable
Molded fiber packaging is three-dimensional and designed to save space compared to voluminous fiber materials such as EPS molded parts. Thanks to this construction, our packaging can be easily nested and stacked, which facilitates transport and significantly reduces the storage capacity required.

Heat and cold protection
Pulp can be an excellent insulator and, with proper construction, provides some protection to products from heat or cold. Molded pulp does not break on impact like frozen packaging with thermoformed plastic parts.

Recyclable / disposal
Pulp packaging is fully recyclable and can easily be incorporated into existing recycling systems. Our molded fiber parts are PTS (Paper Technology Foundation) tested and therefore suitable for return in waste paper. Since pulp with the raw material used consists of natural fibers and is biodegradable, it can also be composted.

Water resistant and abrasion protection
PAPACKS® Plant-Based Coating
Thanks to our innovative coating technology and the PAPACKS® Plant-Based-Coating, molded pulp packaging can be made water-resistant in order to keep the packaging in shape when there is moisture or condensation. Our coating also offers possible abrasion protection for sensitive products.
In order to guarantee the optimal solution for your product, it is important for us to understand the entire packaging process in your workflow. Our experts work closely with you to develop customized solutions that meet your needs.

Company Goals
PAPACKS® has set itself the goal of producing pulp packaging made from sustainable, biodegradable and recyclable raw materials. To achieve this goal, we implement various measures:
We use closed separators in our production to minimize water consumption and achieve water savings. We are also reducing the amount of waste that goes to landfill to achieve CO₂ reduction.
By using controlled, high-quality raw materials, we guarantee a pure raw material origin without foreign substances and thus contribute to saving resources. We also promote biodiversity through the use of fibers from paludicultures and PAPACKS® Industrial Hemp.
Our materials are obtained from sustainable forest cultivation and are FSC®-certified, with a new planting for every tree felled. We also apply the highest quality requirements to our raw materials in order to guarantee high product quality.
Through further measures, we would like to produce our fiber cast packaging from fibers from PAPACKS® Industrial Hemp and thus make a contribution to saving resources and reducing CO₂.
In addition, we operate our production facilities with renewable energy to further minimize our ecological footprint and ensure sustainable production. We are convinced that these measures will contribute to achieving our corporate goals in accordance with the requirements of a sustainable and resource-saving economy.

We have optimized our appearance for our values, integrity and our mission. For us, diversity also means being in harmony with the diversity of nature and using it sustainably.
Be colorful and diverse with your products and use natural packaging for a way back to nature. It is time to go beyond just the “green” and collectively create global change that can be implemented by all.
Circular design
Circular design is a guide to a regenerative and resilient future. With this approach, products, services and systems are designed and developed with a view to the big picture. The focus is on the needs of the users and at the same time the entire system in which we work is considered. Circular design enables us to tackle global challenges such as packaging reduction and packaging reuse at the root.
In addition to the ecological advantages, it is important to emphasize that circular design can also make economic sense. It helps to save resources and energy and reduce waste disposal costs. Circular design is an approach that should be considered as part of a broader sustainable strategy in product development and corporate governance.
At PAPACKS, we design packaging products together with you according to the principles of circular design. In doing so, we take into account the entire service life of the product and the various material flows in order to ensure efficient and resource-saving production. By implementing circular design, we help to use resources better and reduce environmental impact.
We are convinced that circular design is an important step towards a regenerative and resilient future. That is why we are committed to consistently implementing this concept in our production of fiber cast molded parts.
Circular Economy — Reuse
We rely on the principles of the circular economy in the manufacture of molded fiber product, protective and transport packaging. By permanently returning the packaging used to our production, we can use the materials in the cycle and have a reduced CO₂ footprint.
The packaging is returned directly to our production, without energetic raw material processing. We rely on green electricity, which is also supported by solar power.
By implementing reuse strategies, we contribute to reducing the amount of waste and minimizing the consumption of resources. We are convinced that this measure will help shape a more sustainable and resource-efficient future.
Renewable resources
Renewable raw materials describe natural resources that, in contrast to fossil fuels and mineral raw materials, grow back and can therefore be used in a sustainable cycle. In the context of packaging, this means that instead of petroleum-based plastic materials, packaging is made from renewable raw materials such as tree and plant fibers or paper. The use of renewable raw materials helps to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and lower CO₂ emissions.
It is important to emphasize that the use of renewable raw materials in packaging is only one component of environmental protection. To achieve an overall positive impact, other methods such as reducing and reusing packaging and applying circular design should be considered.
Our company PAPACKS relies on the use of renewable raw materials in the manufacture of cast fiber packaging. We rely on a controlled raw material origin without foreign substances through recycling, as is the case with waste paper. The use of FSC® certified materials with sustainable forest cultivation and reforestation for every felled tree also contributes to sustainability.
By using renewable raw materials, we want to help reduce dependence on fossil fuels and minimize the ecological footprint of our production. We are convinced that this measure, in conjunction with other methods, will help shape a more sustainable and resource-efficient future.
